Dear Diary,
Tonight I am dreaming of tall trees, blue skies and the oh-so-romantic love story of Robin Hood and his lovely Maid Marian.
Perchance the inspiration for this J Grace Collection originated during my childhood from this epic tale … Or
perhaps those years at UC Santa Cruz snuck in, when I actually lived in a Redwood Forest overlooking the Pacific. Regardless, the Sherwood Wedding Suite has become a paper proclamation that tells legendary love stories. Could it be yours?
This rustic elegant wedding stationery boasts a 6×8″ wood embossed pocket folio, gold foil printing and is shown with an accent color of pistachio green. Since all roads lead to love, we honor the Sherwood Collection with inspirations that tickle our fancy! Like the great Robin Hood, feel free to steal these inspirations for your special day (but pay with paper or plastic, please!)
THE DRESS: Monique Lhuillier “Blume” Spring 2017
Imagine riding through the forest to say “I DO” in this gorgeous “Blume” gown by Monique Lhuillier from the Spring 2017 Collection. This pistachio and nude hand painted long-sleeve sheath adds drama and romance with a tulle over skirt and hand painted floral cathedral length veil. There’s no question that this “Maid Marry’n” would be the best-dressed in Sherwood Forest.
THE SHOE: Badgley Mischka “Capella”
If the shoe fits, get married in it! Loving this t-strap ornamental heel by Badgley Mischka which perfectly complements the Sherwood style.
THE EARRINGS: Sophia & Chloe “Phoebe”
The “Phoebe” earrings are a stunning accomplice! These vintage-inspired mint green earrings by Sophia & Chloe boast chandelier draped crystals on a gold filled chain, clasped with lever backs. Not only would these gems be perfect for your wedding day, but can certainly be worn for any occasion.
THE POLISH: YSL “Peace Green”
Give “Peace Green” a chance! Not only is this luxurious nail polish from the La Laque Couture Spring Collection by the incredible Yves Saint Laurent, but the pearly sparkle of green jasper and pink opal will absolutely enhance that diamond ring and NEW wedding band!
THE RING: Jane Taylor “Cirque” Cigar Band
While we wanted to give your Robin Hood a masculine accessory to go along with this Sherwood style – this cigar band from Jane Taylor’s “Cirque” collection is actually a uni-sex ring that can be worn by anyone. Whether you’re a maid or a marry man, this step-cut square green quartz cigar band flanked by carré diamonds in 18K yellow gold is up for the taking.
THE TREAT: Laduree Macarons
Just in case you’ve never tasted an actual French macaron, do so NOW. These delicate sweet meringue-based confections are as good as gold! Thankfully, Laduree is now in the United States, so you do not need to travel to Paris to pick up a box of these precious treats. I’ve seen macaron towers and displays at weddings that quite frankly, I’d kill for!
I don’t know about you but I “Sherwood” go for a macaron right now along with all of these fabulous style pieces. But my heart does belong to paper, so for now, I bid you adieu and leave you with a few more details from the Sherwood Collection.
xoxo,
J Grace
