Dear Diary,
“Playing dress-up begins at age 5 and never truly ends.”
It’s definitely no secret that I’m in love with Kate Spade style. While I too have been playing dress-up for quite a few years, a gal’s wedding day is the be-all, end-all fashion moment we’ve all be dreaming of – saying YES to that DRESS! But who said you should only have one? Definitely not me, darling! I believe a bride-to-be should flirt with fashion at all the wedding occasions, from the engagement party, bridal shower, and bachelorette party to the ceremony and reception, where a day-to-evening look is certainly preferred (dancing the night away is very hard in a fabulous ballgown). And let’s not forget about that time-old tradition of the honeymoon “going away” outfit. Let’s bring that back, shall we?
So again it comes to no surprise that the whimsical stylings by the “live colorfully” designer, known to intermix pops of vibrant colors, polka dots, stripes and the most magnificent sparkles, have found their inspiration into the J Grace Piccadilly wedding collection, making this Dear Diary entry an homage to the fashion icon, Kate Spade.
THE DRESS: Kate Spade
“She is the first to give a toast, and the last to say goodnight.”
Fun, Flirty and Fabulous – so totally Kate! I just love the versatility of this scattered daisy fit-and-flare number for the reception, pre-wedding soiree or for your bridesmaids! With just the right amount of sparkle, this bridal cocktail dress will make any girl feel glam, poised and perfect for a wedding celebration. And let’s point out that this style is definitely one that can be worn again..and again!
THE SHOES: Kate Spade
“She leaves a little sparkle, wherever she goes.”
Wedding shoes are Cinderella moments waiting to happen….and these Kate Spade “Sela” heels are probably one of my absolute favorites! Covered in gold glitter with the signature bow and open toe, these slippers are sure to be a perfect fit. Coming in with just a 2.8 inch heel, they will actually stay on your feet all night long. (Well, maybe not ALL night!)
THE PURSE: Kate Spade
“She is quick and curious and playful and strong.”
The Wedding Belles Bride2Be License Plate Clutch is witty, we know! But what better way to highlight your “taken” status carrying this purse into the engagement party, shower or bachelorette bash…and quite frankly to any date night with your man leading up to “I Do’s.” Fashionistas, I think this would be the BEST bridal shower gift a maid-of-honor could bestow to her Bride2Be as it will live (albeit in the wardrobe) happily ever after.
THE COCKTAIL: Champagne Pommery PINK POP ROSE
“She had a cocktail in her hand and confetti in her hair.”
Pop, fizz and party! Not only is the Pommery collection of champagnes delicious, but each Pop jewel flavor likes to dress up for the occasion. The vibrant Pink Rose would pair perfectly at your Kate Spade-inspired soiree. Bubbles at the bridal shower and bachelorette party are inevitable, and nothing seems more fabulous than popping a pink bottle to celebrate!
THE TABLE: Coco + Kelley
“Be Happy. Be Bright. Be You.”
The tabletop setting is one of the most significant design opportunities you have at a wedding or special event. This fete place setting was created by the lifestyle design company Coco + Kelley who found their inspiration in a pair of Kate Spade heels (go figure). We adore this mix of the polka dot plate, gold flatware and the effervescent pop of pink in the bow-shaped linen. The gold-striped table dressing seals the deal making this meal one that any fashionista would wish to be invited.
THE STATIONERY: Piccadilly by J Grace
“I adore pretty things and witty words”
Of course by now you see our inspiration was right on point. The Piccadilly collection is one of our most whimsical wedding suite collections. And when Mademoiselles marry, they celebrate with a stylish soiree. The flirty polka dots and chevron detailing accented in gold makes this voguish design, one to dance the night away with, darlings!
xoxo,
J GRACE
